The first few pictures are of Currie Hall. I took a few photos one afternoon while we were just hanging out on the quad. It was a random Wednesday afternoon, just chilling! I didn't actually photograph where my "house" is, but it's to the right of the much larger house below.

On Friday, April 15th, some of our group made our way to Rottnest Island, which is about a 30 minute ferry ride outside of Freemantle, or "Freo" (which from UWA is about a 30 minute bus ride). I only stayed for one night, but the scenery was gorgeous and we had a great day biking around!

I only stayed at Rottnest one evening, because I signed up to do "Adventure Day Walk" with UWA's Fitness/Rec sorta group. I was the only one from Currie Hall/exchanges that I know, and also the only woman that went under the age of 30. It was basically a day full of hiking around the "mountainous" areas of Perth. Our instructor was an older man that used to run marathons and whatnot, so he was in great shape and able to guide us around a 16 kilometer/10 mile hike. We began at a point called Kalamunda and ended at a fresh water reserve called Mundaring Weir. This was a dam-type system that provides fresh water to West Australia, all the way to Kalgoorlie (about 700 kilometers inland from Perth). It was a much harder trek than I figured, but was definitely worth it. The photos don't do the trip justice! Luckily, the weather was slightly overcast and even a little drizzly at times; had it been sunny, I think I would have sweat straight to the ground. It was an intense workout, to say the least.

| We stopped at a RANDOM camel park halfway through at the lowpoint of the mountains. Here they are! |
